America’s Boating Course, taught by the U.S. Power Squadron, is being presented in Rockport, Massachusetts at Sandy Bay Yacht Club.
This course, put on by the United States Power Squadrons is a basic primer in boating safety, seamanship and piloting. It is approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and qualifies for the requirement in some states (e.g., New Hampshire) to have a boating safety course before you can operate a power boat. Many insurance companies will give you a discount on your boat insurance if you pass the course. It is also attended by many spouses who want to be more knowledgeable.
The course starts at SBYC starting Tuesday, April 30th at 7 p.m., and runs for the following seven weeks. Please feel free to call Jack Reed at 978-546-3221 if you have questions.
