|Jeffrey C. Dietrich, 55, husband of Cher (Reinsmith) Dietrich of Rockport, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Kaplan House in Danvers with his family by his side. Born in Waltham on November 30, 1959, he was the son of Lael “Sue” Morgan of Florida and H. Curtiss Dietrich of Boston. Jeff was a graduate of Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, Ma. and attended Boston University.Jeff worked as a building contractor and built many homes in the North Shore area including his own log cabin in Rockport. He was also extremely gifted at fixing just about anything and loved spending time on his property in New Hampshire. He enjoyed working on older model cars, especially his treasured Triumph TR6 and his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He was also an avid boater and fisherman and just loved the outdoors and being in the sun. Jeff had a great personality and was always just full of life. His presence, friendship and infectious smile will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife Cher he is survived by his stepson Adam Taschler; his twin grandchildren Samuel Jeffrey Taschler and Sophia Zaine Taschler; his mother Sue Morgan and husband Henry; his father H. Curtiss Dietrich and wife Alice; his stepfather Paul Fuhs and wife Mary; his uncle Peter Dumaine; his sisters Lael Dietrich Cook, Lissa Margaret Dietrich; brother Thomas Henry Dietrich; step sisters Susan Barraclough and Sandra Fuhs; half brother Scott Dietrich and half sister Jane Dietrich; cousin Victoria Dumaine; nephews Theodore “Ted” Cook, Oliver Cook, and Elliot Barraclough; and niece Deanna Dietrich; and his beloved dog Harley.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 8th at 11 am in the First Congregational Church, 12 School St., Rockport. Extended family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
