|Rockport, MA — Anastasia Mary (Curran) Beebe, 91, of Rockport, Mass., passed away on Wednesday, June 18, at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester, Mass., after a brief illness.She was the companion of Russell Gustafson of Rockport, with whom she resided, and was predeceased by her husband Joseph (Spiddi) Spiridigliozzi of Dedham, Mass., who was killed in action in WWII Battle of the Bulge, and husband of 44 years, John N. Beebe of Eugene, Ore., and companion of Victor Anido of Gloucester.
Born in Dedham, Mass., she was the daughter of the late William and Ann M. (Grant) Curran; and sister of the late Dorothy Chambers and Rosemary Houston.
Besides her companion, Russell, she is survived by her sons, John N. Beebe Jr. (Sheila), and Robert L. Beebe (Laura) of Eugene, Ore., and William C. Beebe (Kim) of Warren, R.I.; six grandchildren, Sam Beebe of Washington, Anna, Max and Mason Beebe of Oregon, and Mary and Emma Beebe of Rhode Island; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Catherine Merola of Massachusetts.
A graduate of Dedham High, Anne was a self-employed real estate agent for decades. In her retirement, she followed her passion for art in the form of pottery, creating innumerable pieces that reside in homes around the country. Dedicated to her family and husband’s career, they lived in Massachusetts, California, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Oregon. Known for her kind heart, giving nature and incredible resilience, Anne generously donated her time and talents to organizations like American Red Cross and USO.
